I have been involved with the log home industry since 2001. In that time I have had the privilege of working for the premier stain and sealant manufacturer in the world, Weatherall Company, Inc. As a member of a dedicated team of technically motivated individuals, I was able to stretch my creative legs and expand my technical knowhow of many aspects of the log and wood sided home industry as well as the elastomeric stucco and foundation coatings. I have had personal input in the creative process of not only new products, but the documentation, sales and marketing of them as well.
In 2009, I became a Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders. This accreditation gave me insight on new areas of environmentally responsible building practices and how to reduce waste and pollution. I can say with all certainty that Weatherall products, although not the lowest possible carbon emitting product, are the most effective and have the added bonus of being well below the EPA requirements for VOC emittance.
